Review: Wicked Bride Games

Wicked Bride Games Wicked Bride Games by Clarissa Wild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Whatever you think this is, you're probably wrong. I thought I was getting a competition. I thought I was getting hot, dirty sex. I thought I was getting a nice little HEA.

Well, I got those things--I think. But I also got a total mindfuck of a book with characters more twisted than any I've encountered this year. Good news? I like the mindfuck. Bad news? Well, honestly, there isn't one.

Nine women. Three brothers. One Wicked Bride. Who will win? Who will come out on top? What are you willing to do for fifty million dollars? How far are you wiling to go?

You'll have to search inside yourself for these answers and I don't think the truth will be as easy to swallow as you'd like. It's a crazy, fucked up, twisted book and I'm excited to see where the second book takes us.

Max and Naomi. Damn. That's a couple I'd NEVER want to cross.

Review: Schooled by a Senior

Schooled by a Senior Schooled by a Senior by K. Webster
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Quick, dirty, and fantastic. This is a student-teacher romance and it's hot and steamy and sweet.

Author is a senior. A super hot, powerful senior.

Maise is the substitute teacher of wet dreams. She's never taught and these kids walk all over her.

Until Aut speaks up and gets the classes attention.

He may also get the attention of Maise.

It's that attention that explodes on the pages.
Chemistry? Check.
Hotness? Check.
Angry sex? Check.
Dirty Talk? Check.

Want to read something dirty and hot and even filled with a bit of revenge? Schooled by the Senior fits all of those needs and wants.

Book Blitz: #Blur

by Cambria Hebert
(GearShark, #4)
Publication date: January 10th 2017
Genres: M/M Contemporary Romance

Nothing but a #blur…

There’s a new kid in town, and he’s hell on wheels.
From what we’ve heard, it may be because
he knows exactly what hell’s like.
You may know his brother, the NRR hotshot
(and former GearShark cover model)
It’s only natural a driver with his background and family connections
has sped his racecar into the newest, hottest division.
But that’s not all.
Arrow may be following in big bro’s tread marks,
but he doesn’t plan to stay there.
He’s swerving onto the road less traveled…
and a lot more controversial.
He’s opening up about his private struggles with sexuality
to tell a story that’s gone unheard until now.
One thing’s for sure; Arrow may have a painful past,
but his foot is heavy on the accelerator.
With speed like this, he’s bound to leave everything behind in
nothing but a #blur.

It’s the start of nothing good.
I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages…to the wrong number.
And he replied.
Him: Show me a picture.
Him: Tell me your name.
Why does the lure of anonymity have me craving to indulge a stranger?

It’s the start of everything right.
I received a slew of text messages…when everything in my life was wrong.
And she made me laugh again.
Her: You’re probably a creeper.
Her: Possibly a stalker.
Why do I have the overwhelming need to find this stranger who saved me and make her mine?

Him: Take a chance with me.
Her: This is crazy.
Him: I need to see you.
Her: What are we doing?
Him: We’re about to find out.

The stunning conclusion to the New York Times Bestseller.

Theres one, unbreakable rule in the game.
Stay collected. Compartmentalize. Think your next move through. Never let your heart dictate your tactics.

The heart is impulsive.
The heart makes bad decisions.
The heart doesnt see the long game.

Because the heart may have decided to get Adam back, but when the endgame comes, the hearts going to be the first thing to break.

He took my hand, putting it in his lap as if it was finally home. What are we doing?he asked.

Screwing up.

Like its our job.

If youre going to do something, I say, do it all the way.
He squeezed my hand. I was jarred by the way he looked in the direction of the window, but not through it. He didnt look like the commanding Dominant who had been my partner for the past few weeks. As handsome as ever, and graceful and sharp, a leader and a decider, but not the same.
He faced me. I dont know how to fix this.
The streetlights glinted off the light in one eye and his jaw locked, catching things hed never say. He looked like a man I knew and abandoned. Manhattan Adam.
We cant fix it,I said, putting his hand in my lap, watching our clasped hands make a new form. I rubbed the outside of his thumb with mine, feeling its familiar shape, the strength of the knuckle and the texture of his skin on mine. We have to build something new. And we can.I looked up from our hands to his face.
Could I make him feel my optimism? Could I take a piece of it onto a fork and lift it to his lips? Would they part? Would he let me lay it on his tongue? Would he chew and swallow, saying I do. I do believe we can, I do.
He didnt say that. He didnt believe, but his lips needed to touch my belief and his tongue needed to taste my hope.
I dont know if I kissed him or if he kissed me, but it felt like a first kiss, with full quivering that left me paralyzed at his nearness. The act of two tongues tasting each other was so intimate between strangers, so taken for granted over time, and so rarely is the wonder of it felt through to the bone.
He was licorice. Fennel and leather. And he moved like cool water, reacting to my movements, countering with his hands and his mouth, covering me with his attention. The kiss was the sway of sex, the smell of it, the carnal desire without the promise of anything but another dance.

About the Author

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestselling author. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up, she's at the well, hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

Critics have dubbed the books "poetic," "literary," and "hauntingly atmospheric," which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she's some sort of braggart who's too good to chop a cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

Brandi's Review:

No Means Yes Stars

I own your boredom

Those words are the beginning of the new arrangement. Diana is determined to win her husband back. She sets out to prove she is everything he wants. But can she succeed? When is is determined to push her away, how will she react? How will she win her husband when she is being controlled by her Dominant husband?

I own your nudity.

Naked, alone, and desperate for the man she loves Diana is left to her own devices as long as they conform to Adam's demands. He wants her naked, then she will be naked? He wants her in diamonds and pearls, well she'll do that too. But at what cost? What is this deal costing Diana? Can she handle it?

I own your comfort.

Adam demands she sleep on the floor. This isn't the first time, but can Diana let go of her pride to please Adam? Will she be able to give up the luxury she has grown accustomed to?

I own your pleasures.

Yes. All the yeses here because Adam definitely owns her pleasure. He's owned her pleasure since Mantauk, but can he continue owning her pleasure? Will she show restraint or will she cave as she has done before?

I own your curiosity.

Adam owns every inch of her. She must acquiesce. She must give in. She must allow him total Domination over her body, mind, and spirit. Will he break her? Will he bring out her inner submissive? How can she exert control over her curiosity when this world was just given to her?
But she was more than a sub at that moment, and I was less than her Dom.

Diana holds all the cards. Adam may be her Dom, but she is in control. She has the power to break Adam. She wants her husband and she is willing to fall into the depths of Hell to prove it.
What is want? Wanting is compulsive. Want sneaks up in the middle of the night and infests the soul with dissatisfaction. Want becomes obsession. Want isn't real.

This is probably the most real thing I have ever read. What is want? Why do we always want more? Is enough ever really enough? Diana thinks she wants to explore her submissive side, but at what cost? Adam wants his old Diana to return to him, but is that a reality or is he setting himself up for dissatisfaction?

"Make me do things."
