Separation Games (The Games Duet #2)
CD Reiss
Publication Date: January 3, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Erotic Romance

"CD Reiss writes the best erotica I have ever read." ~ Meredith Wild, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Hacker Series

The stunning conclusion to the New York Times Bestseller.

There’s one, unbreakable rule in the game.
Stay collected. Compartmentalize. Think your next move through. Never let your heart dictate your tactics.

The heart is impulsive.
The heart makes bad decisions.
The heart doesn’t see the long game.

Because the heart may have decided to get Adam back, but when the endgame comes, the heart’s going to be the first thing to break.

CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up, she's at the well, hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

Critics have dubbed the books "poetic," "literary," and "hauntingly atmospheric," which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she's some sort of braggart who's too good to chop a cord of wood.

If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

Cover Reveal: Lost in Between

KL Kreig's next book is going to blow your mind!
Check out the amazing cover for Lost In Between!
Release Date: February 20th
We all have one.

A price.

That magic number that will get us to agree to do anything, be anything.

Don’t sit on your gold-plated high horse and say you don’t because you do. Everyone does. Each of us has something we covet enough that we’d sell ourselves to have it.

What’s my tipping point, you ask? Apparently a cool quarter mil will do the trick.

What does one do for 250 large, you wonder? Anything the infamous, gorgeous playboy of Seattle wants. For the next four months I’ll be Shaw Mercer’s arm candy, his beck and call girl, his faux girlfriend. I’ll be his to command, mold, push and pull in any direction he sees fit.

I’ll fight falling into bed with him. I’ll fight falling in love with him even harder. I’ll fail at both. And when my past and present collide in the most unexpected of ways, I’ll learn that while one man’s love for me has never died, the only man’s love I really want will never be mine.

About the Author:

I’m just a regular ol’ Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It’s a vicous cycle. I love carbs, but there’s love-hate relationship with my ass and thighs. Mostly hate. I like a good cocktail (oh hell…who am I kidding? I love any cocktail). I’m a huge creature of habit, but I’ll tell you I’m flexible. I read every single day and if I don’t get a chance…watch the hell out, I’m a raving bitch. My iPad and me: BFFs. I’m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker. I hate, hate, hate spiders, telemarketers, liver, acne, winter and loose hairs that fall down my shirt (don’t ask, it’s a thing).

Review: After We Fall

After We Fall After We Fall by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 I'll want to keep you

Margot is pushing thirty, single, and living a rather boring life. Her ex-boyfriend wears pants with whales on them. WHALES! She isn't happy, but she isn't unhappy. She's just living. Carrying on, being a good Thurber woman.

Until her idiot ex stops by one night and proposes. Like the smart, educated woman she is, she declines.
But then she starts to reconsider his offer. I mean, she is almost thirty and good Thurber women are married with a family by this point.
And then, at an event for her father, Margot sees that idiot ex with his...girlfriend turned fiance! This may have caused Margot to Cause a Scene. It also may have the socialites up in arms. It may have been a Scene that had her mother urging her to get out of town.
"You're a scone cold bitch, you know that!"

So, Margot does just that. She takes a job that has her visiting the Valentini Farm.

Jack Valentini is a war vet, widowed, and living a life of pain. His wife died in a tragic accident and he blames himself for her death. He's not living so much as he's surviving.

Until Margot shows up at his farm and turns his life upside down. Being the man he is, he believes he deserves to live his life in pain, he doesn't deserve happiness, and he doesn't think a city girl like Margot Thurber Lewiston has a place on his farm.

Asking to learn more about the farm she is trying to help, Jack is the one who does the day-to-day chores. This leaves Jack to take her around and show her the ropes. He doesn't have high hopes for Margot's ability on the farm, but she's a fast learner and he's quickly mesmerized--although he'd never admit it.
The last thing I needed was to drag her ass around all day, explaining things. Or stare at her ass all day, imagining things.

This is one of those books where opposites attract and the ride is so much fun that I never wanted it to end. I mean, they are so completely different. He calls her "city girl" for Christ's sake! But really, they are freaking adorable. He's cranky and grumpy and only seems to really come out of his self-imposed prison when Margot is around.
"Don't worry, Farmer Frownypants, your secret is safe with me." She patted my leg. "I won't tell anyone how sweet you really are." I leaned over to whisper in her ear. "And I won't tell anyone how dirty you really are."

These two are explosive in the bedroom. Chemistry is off the charts. And damn, if it doesn't make me want a farmer/cowboy of my own.
Margo sweet and bubbly in broad daylight was tempting enough--Margot feisty and looking for trouble in the dark was downright dangerous.

Why can't life be simple and these two people realize that they have to be together? Why do they make me stress about things like whether or not they get their HEA? Why do they insist on making it difficult?
Anyway, that's what they do, but it's okay. I have come to accept the difficult with my romance. It happens. There has to be conflict. Jack and Margot are no exception to this rule.
"Fuck you. I want this. I don't even know why I want this so badly, but I do."

Melanie, where can I find a Jack? I think I need one.

She grinned devilishly, her blue eyes lighting up. Sometimes I wonder if it was that smile that did me in.

Review: Mr. Match

Mr. Match Mr. Match by J.A. Huss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 And my heart wants Oliver Shrike Stars

The fact I got to see another Shrike man is a blessing in and of itself. The fact that he's an artist just adds a nice little cherry to the top of my Shrike pie. Seriously, I cannot get enough of this family.

As soon as Julie announced that Mr. Match was--and is--Oliver Shrike, I knew I would do everything I could to read his story. And since Mr. Match is book 5 in the Misters series--and canNOT be read as a standalone--I knew I would read every single one of those men to get to Oli.
Oliver Shrike is tender and caring. Deep and complicated. He is poetry incarnate. There is not one damn thing about him that requires adjustment or modification. Not his temperament. Not his body. Not his mind.

It was totally worth it. The ride has been fantastic and I am sad to see this series come to an end (does it really have to end though? Can't we just throw another Mister in there? The Society started with six men--I'm thinking that needs to come full circle).

Anyway, Oli's blast from the past shows up on camera. He runs the Hook-Me-Up website with his sister, Ariel, and Katya Kaloshova puts her body on screen for Oliver. He knows it's her because his words are still marking her body. He knows it's her because he'd recognize her anywhere. He knows it's her and he knows she's come back for him.
Katya Kalashova is some of the worst news I've ever had the pleasure of fucking.

In one of the hottest self-pleasure scenes I've ever gotten to read, Oliver Shrike dishes out just enough to leave the reader wanting more. More Oliver. More sex. Gimme more...Gimme more. He may deliver this scene, but it isn't without direction to Kat. "Then stick two fingers in your mouth and suck them like you used to suck my cock."

Oli is a dirty, dirty man.
"What part of 'whatever you want' don't you get?"
he says, mimicking my tone. "What part of 'I like a little fight' don't you get?"

Just like his dad.

And I can say that with a straight face. I can also say that this apple did not fall far from the artistic, muscular, amazing tree.
We are animals. We fuck like animals. Primal and intrinsic and primitive.
Katya gives just as good as she gets. She may be back in Oliver's life to do a job, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want the one thing that has ever made her happy. She wants Oliver and she is willing to do just about anything to make it happen. Hopefully. As long as her sister is safe, she will do what she can to get her HEA with Oli.
"I'm gonna make you beg for it, Shrike."

Yes, this book has sex. Yes, this book is hot. But there is more going on than just a hook-up. There's a reason this book cannot be read as a standalone when the previous four books can. There's a reason you go into this totally fucked up and asking yourself what could possibly happen next. How do this five men connect beyond that initial rape charge at Brown? What brings this men together? We were left with more questions than answers in Mysterious so WHAT HAPPENS?!

And if the brief moment all of the Misters were together in Mysterious wasn't enough for you, these men are all in this book. Every. Single. One. Perfect, Romantic, Corporate, Mysterious, and Match (obviously).
He's not the most pleasant guy when he's irritable. But then again, neither am I. Actually, now that I think about it, none of us are. Mac is pretty even-tempered. But the rest of us? All assholes.

"I think they're a bunch of dumbasses who think with their cocks."

And that is why I love these men. It's a weakness.

But really, why is Kat back after four long years? What does she need from Oliver? Is she there to destroy him or save him?
I will throw everything away to keep her. I will betray everyone I know.

I want more.
More lies, more betrayal, more deceit, more fucked-up beginnings that lead to more fucked-up endings.
Bring it on, motherfuckers. We're ready.

"The Misters are back, gentlemen. And as much as people would like to say they're not interested in our debauchery, they are. So let's give them the headline they've been waiting a decade for."

These men are all different, but all brought together under the same charges. That rape case at Brown, eleven years ago. Because it's been more than a decade since that one fateful night brought them all together. What was Match's role in that night? Why did he go down for something he didn't do? Why did any of them take the heat for that night? They all come together in this epic conclusion to a series that I could have never predicted. It was a wild ride, Ms. Huss, and I thank you for every minute of it.

You express me better than I express myself. You shall be more to me than my poem.
