Helena Hunting goes for the Hat Trick with Pucked Over and scores Beautifully!!!

BLURB

Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong?

NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.

But casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to get pucked over.

My EARLY SPOILER FREE Review

6 Randy & Lily Forever STARS – Helena Hunting goes for the hat trick and Pucked Over SCORES BEAUTIFULLY!!!

Pucked Over is the third book in what we all hope to be a never ending series! We’ve met and fell into endless love with Violet and Alex, Miller and Sunny, now it’s time to get to know Randy “Balls” Ballistic and Lily…intimately.

“Anyway, as I was about to tackle the hairy muppet living on my cooch, the door to the bathroom flew open.”

Lily is Sunny’s best friend and an extension of the Waters family. She’s been a part of the family since she was a little girl and they are all very protective of the sassy and independent spit fire that is Lily. Randy and Miller have been friends for years, playing hockey together since they were kids, now they both play for the Chicago Blackhawks along with Lance, and Alex. Although the boys are all pretty tight, Miller and Randy have the closest friendship so when Randy develops an interest in Lily, Miller is a little uneasy. Randy is the type of guy who loves them up and leaves them before feelings ever enter the equation. Miller sees how this could go horribly wrong from the very start and he warns Randy repeatedly that Lily is not a Bunny. What Miller doesn’t realize though is that from the moment Randy lays eyes on Lily in that cottage bathroom covered in shaving cream attempting to deal with the mess that is her fur burger, he never once sees her as a Bunny. He just sees her, in all of her pissed off and spunky glory.

“So I did what any hot-blooded Canadian woman would when a hot man – hockey player or not – threatened extreme violence on her behalf: I grabbed his face and stuck my tongue in his mouth.”

Randy and Lily’s attraction to one and other is explosive from the moment they meet and it leaves both of them not knowing what to make of it. Lily is most definitely not Randy’s type and Randy is not Lily’s type at all. Mind you Randy’s used to clingy, over the top, over inflated bunnies and Lily is used to her insecure, douche bag of an ex, who she’s been with off and on for the last seven years. When the pull towards one and other becomes too much to ignore, that’s when the real fun begins.

“I promised myself I wouldn’t attack him like a starved lion on a steak again.”

Getting a chance to read an early copy of this book had me positively giddy with excitement. The Pucked series has become a very real addiction for me, when each book arrives I lose my mind, knowing that I’m going to have the chance to revisit some of my favorite book characters ever. Violet, Alex, Sunny, Miller, Lance, Randy and Lily always bring it. This series is probably one of the funniest I have ever read, but with that being said, it’s also a series in which every single book is better than the previous, I’m not sure how that is even possible but it is 100% true. Helena Hunting has started something with these books that is going to be a serious problem for me, when she decides to move onto a new series. I’m going to be devastated. True Story. I’m so attached to these fictional people at this point that it’s not entirely healthy.

“I like that she’s my kind of crazy.”

“His deep voice makes my insides liquid, but not Ebola liquid, sexy liquid. I can practically feel his body heat behind me.”

Randy and Lily’s story is a bit different from the previous couple’s, I found it a bit more emotional and even though I love every single one of them, this one hurt my heart a bit more than the others. I think it’s because Randy and Lily both have some very real insecurities that they struggle with and they both have abandonment issues. The story is not all heavy, there is a ton of Laugh Out Loud Snorting moments for sure, I mean Violet makes several appearances and that just says it all right? This book just seemed to have more feels layered in among all the laughs. I loved where Helena went with this one; the series just continues to become even more fantastic and more emotional with each passing chapter. She never fails to deliver a fabulous story, but factor in the incredible sexiness and untouchable humor; you are just left with a truly unforgettable experience. One that leaves your belly aching from the laughter, your heart feeling full and warm and your mind overflowing with thoughts about where the next book will take you. There has to be another. HAS TO BE! I will not accept anything else.

“And he’s pushing inside me – slow, controlled. It’s so, so good. Scratch that. Good doesn’t cut it. It’s more magical than Oz.”

“And the show’s over. I come so hard I’m sure brain cell start dying.”

Randy and Lily are going to steal your heart. Violet is going to make you laugh till it hurts and maybe even pee a little and Alex and Miller will make you swoon all over again. Sunny will make smile huge and the overall reading experience is one that will never be forgotten. Pucked Over is the best book that I had the pleasure of reading this year so far, and it is going not only on my all-time favorites list but also my top reads for 2016 as well. Words cannot possibly express how much I ADORED this book and once again I’m rambling. So bottom line here, PRE-ORDER Pucked Over and read the hell out of it, just make sure you do not have a full bladder at any point in time while reading it.

“Nothing screams sexy like puking on a dick.”

“I told her to tell me if things got too intense, but I have no idea what to do with myself.”

BLURB

With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn’t interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. When Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

Suffering from a complete lapse in judgment, Violet discovers just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts. Suddenly, he's too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.

The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.

MY REVIEW

“Inside my room in the suite, I slide down the door, breathing hard. I hit the floor with a wince; my cooter has been in an epic battle – with a cock monster.”

5 Stars – A hilarious and sexy romance that is sure to leave you grinning from ear to ear and your stomach aching!

Pucked has been on my wish list for quite some time and now that I’ve finally had a chance to read it, I’m quite sure I will never look at beavers the same way again!!!!

Violet Hall is a junior accountant that is more than familiar with egotistical hockey players, her step brother Buck, is a hockey player after all and there is nothing that she loathes more than puck bunnies and hockey hookers. She has zero interest in dating hockey players after her one and only disastrous attempt last year. Alex Waters is Captain for The Hawks, he’s a rockstar on the ice and according to the media between the sheets as well *wink wink*. Violet is struck by Alex and his hotness the very first time she sets eyes on him, soon realizing he’s actually spent a lot of time running through her fantasies recently!

“It’s then I realize where I recognize him from: the milk advertisements. Sweet Lord, I’ve been jilling off to him”

I can honestly say that after I finished reading this book, I’ve never read anything quite like it. It’s sexy of course, super super sexy indeed, but it’s also funny, and I mean laugh till you cry and snort funny. I had stomach pains from laughing so hard. Violet has got to be one of the most quirky and engaging characters I’ve read in a long time. The words that come out of her mouth are HILARIOUS and her inner thoughts are even more hilarious! She has very little filter between her mouth and her brain, and it just gets funnier with every page!

“I love his penis. I want to give it a sponge bath and dress it up like a super hero.”

Alex is sweet and sexy; he’s thoughtful and totally enamored by Violet! I fell in love with him, from the very start. He’s impossible not to love and he’s Canadian! Can he be any more perfect? But the man that’s used to women falling all over themselves to get to him is having a hard time reconciling the fact that the one woman he wants the most seems to be either oblivious or resistant to his many charms and talents.

“I can’t wait to have my mouth on you again. I’m gonna eat you like I’m on death row and you’re my last goddamn meal.”

Alex and Violet’s story is jam packed full of sexy times, and humor. It is one of the funniest books I’ve ever read, truly. Helena Hunting’s writing is fantastic and her characters are completely unforgettable. If this book could be adapted to screen and made into a movie I’d be the first person in line to see it! I’m pretty sure people would be rolling in the aisles dying of laughter! I’ve ever read by this author but I will be checking out all of her others after reading Pucked. This story is so much fun to read, it’s hard to even put into words, but if you’re looking for an off the charts sexy read, with TONS of laughs, Pucked is your next read. It’s a perfect palate cleanser if you’re in a reading slump; it’s addictive from start to finish. Go get Pucked, you can thank me later *wink*

“Verdict: Beaverscaping is dangerous.”

BLURB

Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he’s ready for a girlfriend. A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.

Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters—who happens to date his stepsister, Miller’s media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.

Miller learns—eventually—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he's going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

MY REVIEW

5 MotherPucking Stars – Move over Alex Waters! Get ready to fall head over heels for The Yeti!

“I don’t want to be doomed to a life of bunnies and no substance. They’re not what I want. I want someone consistent. But caring the much about someone gives them a lot of power, and that makes me nervous. Power hurts people.”

The characters that made you laugh until tears ran down your leg in Pucked are all back in this brand new release from Helena Hunting! Pucked Up is the second book in the Pucked series, and this book is Miller “Buck” Buttersons’ and Sunny Water’s book. As we all know Buck “The Yeti” is Violet’s step brother and Sunny is Alex’s sister. It’s safe to say that if you loved Pucked as much as I did, that Pucked Up is going to be your next favorite book.

Buck is a hockey player, one that is known for his notorious antics with bunnies (puck bunnies are hockey player fangirls interested in scoring between the sheets with hockey players btw), but since the night he spent with Sunny, talking, there was no sexing at all,  he hasn’t had a single inclination to hang with the bunnies. He likes this girl; she’s smart, sweet, not slutty and doesn’t fall over at the sight of him with her legs in the air. She is a challenge…

“So maybe part of it is the challenge. But when I see her, I’m pretty sure the tingly feeling in my dick matches that weird feeling in my chest.”

Sunny is used to hockey players, her brother is a famous one after all. Buck is nice, he’s sexy and she likes him more than she should. She will not be just another f*ck and chuck. She keeps Buck at arm’s length so to speak physically and is determined to take things slowly. She knows all too well of his reputation and she has no interest in being splashed all over social media as yet another bunny. Alex is none too happy with the fact that his baby sister is spending time with his teammate and soon to be brother in law. He’s making no attempts to hide it either. It’s going to cause problems, it’s a fact.

“I miss her mouth. I miss everything about her even though she’s right in front of me. Maybe this is what love is. If so I’m not sure I like it all that much. This feels like I’ve taken a puck to the balls, except it’s hurting from the inside out instead.”

While Buck makes all of his best efforts to see where this relationship can go with Sunny, hilariousness ensues. With every attempt to remain loyal to Sunny, something else happens, making him look like the manwhore that he used to be. I fell in love with Buck in this book; I got to see a whole new side to this beast of a man: a softer side, a sensitive side, an insecure side, a vulnerable side even. He is committed to making this work with Sunny no matter what. Sunny made me a little angry throughout the book though, she’s a strong woman, but for all that, she listens far too much to everyone else has to say, and allows them to push her around a bit. She’s falling in love with the yeti and still she allows them to plant seeds of doubt about his intentions multiple times throughout the book. That being said the total hilariousness that is littered throughout made me laugh till I cried. My stomach hurt I laugh so hard. Buck gets himself into some incredibly awkward situations, and seeing him trying to get himself out of them was priceless.

“Being the provider of the first big “O” gives me some power. It elevates my status. I’m the White Knight in the land of Orgasmia, wielding my magical sword of awesome.”

His interactions with Violet were PRICELESS! Epically funny overshares included. Exchanges about the Super Mc, the moops, sex and spider bites! Make it stop! It hurts to laugh that hard! There is also a lotion incident that left me laughing so hard I thought I might pee myself.
GOOD TIMES INDEED.

Pucked Up is every bit as funny as Pucked, it’s sexy, it’s sweet, and it’s fun. Having the honor of reading an advanced readers copy of Pucked Up, priceless. Helena Hunting writes romantic comedy like a boss. The writing is tight, smart and the story keeps you flipping the pages at a furious pace. I whipped through this one so quickly, I almost have regret. I loved it so much I think I may have read it too quickly; I should have wallowed a bit. Rest assured I will be re-reading it again. Being a Canadian I absolutely loved seeing all of the Canadianisms throughout. With the perfect amount of emotion, lots of sexy times, passion, and dramatic gut bustlingly funny events Pucked Up gives the fans just what they have been begging for. It gives us yet another chance to lose ourselves in a story that is lighter and funnier than most. This book is the perfect read for anyone in a reading slump, or suffering from a book hangover. If you have not yet discovered this amazing Canadian author, or her fabulous books, I’m not sure what you are waiting for. I went into Goodreads and added every single one of her books to my TBR. I became overly excited when I saw Pucked Over on the list, if she writes 15 more books in this series; I’ll be begging to read every single one. Talent, this lady has it, without a doubt.

“There are no refunds and no exchanges with love. It comes with flaws and imperfections. It’s raw, unfiltered, and sometimes it isn’t easy. But I’ve found the best things in life are the ones I’ve had to work hardest for. Especially Sunny.”
