The first time it happened, it seemed like an impossible miracle. Bills were piling up, adding up to more money than I could ever make. Mom's hospital bills. My baby brother's tuition. My tuition. Rent. Electricity. All of it on my shoulders. And I had just lost my job. There was no hope, no money in my account, no work to be found. And then, just when I thought all hope was lost, I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of ten thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.," and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing…except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters.

If you receive a mysterious check, for enough money to erase all your worries, would you cash it?

I did.

The next month, I received another check, again from VRI Incorporated. It too contained a single word: "belong."

A third check, the next month. This time, two words. Four letters. "To me."

The checks kept coming. The notes stopped. Ten thousand dollars, every month. A girl gets used to that, real quick. It let me pay the bills without going into debt. Let me keep my baby brother in school and Mom's hospice care paid for. How do you turn down what seems like free money, when you're desperate? You don't. I didn't.

And then, after a year, there was a knock on my door. A sleek black limousine sat on the curb in front of my house. A driver stood in front of me, and he spoke six words: "It's time to pay your debt."

Would you have gotten in?

I did.

It turns out $120,000 doesn't come free.

Beyond Sexy,Erotic, Panty Soaking Stars

When was the last time you read a book, where you are blushing, sweating, shaking, biting you nails, and struggling to breathe while reading? Well get ready readers, because Jasinda Wilder has just given you, your next panty soaking read!
I kinda adore the plot line for Alpha. Young woman struggling to support her ill mother, her younger brother, all while trying to support herself and finish her education. Days away from eviction, and having just been fired and almost sexually assaulted by her pig of a boss, things are looking very dire for Kyrie. So when a cheque for $10 000.00 arrives in her mailbox suddenly, she questions whether or not to cash it. She does struggle with her decision, but let’s face it, you’d cash it. I totally would cash it. However she has no idea where it has come from, just a couple of initials are the only clues and leads nowhere. The cheques continue to show up, every month, like clockwork, and they give Kyrie the space to breathe easier for the first time in a very long time. Her bills are paid and she’s no longer living off condiments and Black Cherry Chobani. However the relief is short lived, as in the memo line of the cheques she has noticed a message emerging, finally revealing …

“You Belong To Me”

Kyrie is unnerved, and more than a lot curious. She pushes it to the back of her mind, and 1 year to the date of the first cheque arriving, $120 000.00 later, payment may be due. Kyrie now needs to settle her debt. A man arrives at her front door and she is being collected.

Jasinda Wilder does a magnificent job of building the tension, the fear, the anxiety, I was biting my nails, and bouncing my knee compulsively. Hubs thought I needed to,“Chill out, it’s just a book…” I KNOW RIGHT, WTF? Who says that? Especially to an admitted Book Whore…

Alpha is without a doubt one of the easiest, fastest and arousing books I have read all year. It may very well be THE sexiest book I've ever read... A  devastatingly handsome, insanely rich, powerful and domineering stranger with a voice to strip you of your undies while making your toes curl. Oh and BONUS a dirty mouth too, I mean filthy and sexy and just plain perfection. Le sigh…

The danger, the intrigue, the secrets, the lust, the sheer bliss of sexual exploration without boundaries. Makes Alpha one HAWT ticket! It’s beyond sexy, but has a caring and emotional undercurrent to it. Jasinda brings it all. It’s fabulous from start to finish and it truly has some of the sexiest scenes I have EVER read. It goes onto my One Handed Read List. So go get your one-click on, and make sure you have a couple hours alone to sink into and soak in Alpha.
