These Books are like Crack!

With every addition to this series I become more and more addicted. This seriously pains me, because I believe there will only two more instalments. As a rule most series that have more then 3 instalments, becomes stale, and boring.

This series gets better and better with every new addition.

I had picked up Stalk Me, Book 1 in the series a while back. I read it in one setting, and from there on out, I was ADDICTED!  I wait very impatiently for each every new book.

I devoured at that point every book in the series within a week. I ate, slept and breathed these books. I can be a bit of a junkie. 

 

Adore Me picks up right where we had left off. As with each instalment the author asks everyone to please not put any spoilers in their reviews. This is killing me, I would love nothing more then to be able to rave and obsess over Adore Me. I will behave and stick to the script. I do have one last word here, I can't not do it... TeamAdianForever <3

 

Thank You Jillian Dodd for creating such an addictive, well written series. These books have it all, romance, drama, intrigue, humour, fabulous clothes, absolutely fabulous characters...it's a girl's dream.

5 Shiny Stars!

I adore Samantha Towle, I adored the Mighty Storm, and Wethering the Storm. If you are picking this one up thinking it will be like these books, be warned, this one is very different. Sure you have the smokin' hot, sexy main characters, but this is where the similarities end.

We begin this book in a very strange and dark place. Mia has just lost her only parent, heart attack. Devastating right? Nope this is a reason to truly celebrate, in Mia's unfortunate case. You see Mia has been keeping secrets and hiding her pain away since before she can remember. On the surface Mia is a beautiful, intelligent, well mannered young woman. She is attending Harvard and is working towards becoming a doctor, first year pre-med to be exact. But looks can be deceiving. Mia is in a very bad place, both emotionally and physically. When her father passes away, Mia is forced to face the truth. Even though she has a boyfriend Forbes, (don't even get me started on this guy), she is truly alone in this world. A startling revelation turns her world upside down, and her journey begins anew. Mia finds the strength within, to break free. Finally willing and able to break the cycle that has crippled her her entire life.

The love story that unfolds in Trouble will melt your heart, make you swoon, make you cry. It is a story that will give you hope, that even though you are broken, you are not unfix-able. Trauma and sickness can be overcome. Truly healing and moving forward is possible. Even the most terrifying nightmares can be forgotten.

This book delves into some pretty heavy issues, abuse, eating disorders, rape, death, love, however Samantha Towle handled the subject matter beautifully. She balances the horrific with the beautiful. The abuse scenes are painful and difficult to read, but they truly touch you as a reader. Mia's pain and heartbreak were mine as well, and I found myself misty eyed more than once while reading Trouble. I found myself totally engrossed in this book. I love stories of redemption, love, and healing.  I adore a story where you are rooting for the underdog, Mia was an underdog from page one.

This book was a little bit of everything, but a whole lot of Beautiful. I will revisit this one again and again. I fell completely in love with Jordan, Mia, and Dozer. I cannot recommend this book enough. Trouble is beautiful, heart breaking, and fantastic.

I don't read paranormal romance as a rule, however I have recently discovered, that given the right story and author, you should never make assumptions. I am so very glad I stepped out of my box to read this new series, I loved Book 1 Give Me Reason, and when we begin Book 2 Give Me Hope, we pick up right where we had left off. Tragedy had struck Vivienne at the end of Give Me Reason, and we were left in a heart stopping cliff hanger. In this installment we are given a fair amount of background on Mikah and his family, which is much appreciated. These insights draw you in, as a reader, you now have no hope of walking away. We are also given some insights into what is growing between Mikah and Vivienne. Give Me Hope, is written solely from Mikah's point of view.

Physical attraction is not the only reason these two are drawn to each other. There are many other forces at work. Vivienne and Mikah's story is truly different. Mystical and dramatic, with strong characters and beautiful writing, the author sucks you into their world.
 Viv and Mikah's story is a love story that delves into true, life altering love, that is not completely of this world. Love that neither Mikah nor Viv completely understand. They are struggling to comprehend the pull, and the undeniable need to be one. Viv is incredibly independent, strong willed, and not easy to trust...anyone. Her past has made that impossible. Mikah is successful, determined, strong willed, generous and unable to walk away. Both characters are at war with their feelings.
