EXCERPT
Getting out of my hold, she walks back to the bus. She
sticks her head inside and looks around before turning to me. "The day you
get your license…" She takes two steps
to cover the distance between us. "You pick me up and take me somewhere
secluded, and we make out in the back. For
hours."
My eyes go huge and I slowly nod. "That can be
arranged."
She smiles. "And I'm talking full on making out,
Cameron. I mean, I want you shirtless and horizontal." I try not to look
down at my shorts; positive I'm sporting a semi. She continues, "And I want to be shirtless and you better
be touching boob."
I choke on air.
She giggles, and then crosses her arms over her breasts.
"Deal?"
I think I agree, but I can't be sure, because now all I
can think about is boob. I place my hands on her waist and gently push her
until she's against the bus.
And then I kiss her.
Her hands go to my hair, tugging a little, and bringing
me closer to her.
And
we kiss.
When she finally loosens her hold, I pull back.
She kisses me once, and then sighs. "You really
bought this bus, huh?"
I nod.
"So that you can help me out with my
brothers?"
I nod again. "Of course, Luce, you're my girl. It's
my job to take care of you."
Her eyes glaze over with tears again.
I wanted to kick myself for making her cry. But before I
can say anything, she wraps her arm around my neck and brings me down for
another quick kiss. She pulls away and says, "I really like you, Cameron."
I grin. "Yeah?"
"Yeah," she says dreamily.
And then my heart begins to race.
My palms begin to sweat.
And all I can hear is the blood pumping in my ears.
"Good," I respond, and then inhale a huge
breath. "Because I'm kind of in love with you, Lucy."
Her eyes bug out. Her jaw drops to the floor. "What?"
she breathes out.
I lift my chin and fake a confidence that doesn't exist.
"You heard me."
Silence.
It's the longest three seconds of my life.
Then finally, "Cameron, I love you so much."
And then she kisses me.

With every new story Jay adds to this series, I fall more in love with these characters, how is that even possible? I’ve been waiting for Cam and Lucy’s story since I began More Than This.
After what seems like a lifetime, we finally get to live in Lucy’s world, live in Cam’s world, even if it’s only for a little while, it’s a reading experience that you will never forget. I’ve read all the books in this series, and I knew the back story of Lucy and Cam’s relationship, but I had no clue what kind of heartache I was in for. No. Clue. When you begin More Than Forever, expect exceptional and prepare for pure heartbreak, raw emotion, unconditional, unwavering love, sacrifice, devotion and so much…more.
Lucy is a firecracker; she’s smart, determined, stubborn and incredibly resilient. She curses like a trucker on occasion and has experienced loss no young person should ever have to. Cam is incredibly sweet, compassionate, loving and devoted. Willing to sacrifice for those he loves, he will make you sigh, swoon and fan yourself over, and over again. Whether they realize it or not, early on, they are truly soul mates. Cam and Lucy were destined for each other. Think it sounds cheesy, it’s true. So no, I’m not taking it back! You can’t make me. Their love story is touching, romantic, and EPIC! Your heart will race and your palms will sweat, you feel like you’re in free fall, from start to finish.
Jay McLean has created an entire universe that I have become obsessed with. More Than Forever is flawless, and unforgettable, with characters that come to life on the page, this story is so incredibly compelling you’ll forget life exists outside your reading bubble. I savored every single word; I never wanted it to end. I lingered over this book in my mind for days, I revisited my favorite my passages, chapters, scenes over and over… I just wanted to crawl inside this book and stay there forever. I cannot fully express with words, how much I adore Jay’s words, her characters, she hooked me 3 books ago and I still revel in the magic she creates… every single time, she wrecks me.
If you have not yet experienced this author’s work, the More series, you must. This series calls to a reader on so many different levels; it’s truly indescribable in its awesomeness.
More Than Forever will make you cry, laugh, swoon, cry, sigh, laugh, throw things, stomp you feet, fist pump, curse, yell and then start all over again, then you’ll swoon some more. Go ahead and get Jaying and you can thank me later ;)
