Two years ago, Emma Preston walked away from Jesse Daniels. It is a decision she has regretted ever since. Plagued with the knowledge that Ally’s lies tore them apart, Emma enlists Jesse’s former best friend, Andy, to help her search for him.
When he left California, Jesse was determined to start over in West Virginia with his mother. Now, the past is determined to catch up with him—first, with the appearance of Ally, and when Emma and Andy come back into his life.
Just when Emma thinks she’s found Jesse, a dark secret and misunderstandings force them apart before they can even reconnect. Jesse is torn between his love for Emma and protecting his childhood friend, Ally. Ally has an agenda of her own, and she’s not about to let Emma get in her way—even if that means getting rid of her…permanently.
Can Emma and Jesse’s relationship survive all of their twisted ties?

Can Emma and Jesse’s relationship survive all of their twisted ties?
There was no way that I could go back to my dorm room and sit alone
while all of this was going through my head. I was hanging on to my sanity
by a thread, and I knew that if I was by myself while dealing with this, I’d
lose it. I nearly cried in relief when I pulled into his apartment complex
parking lot, and I saw his car sitting there. I didn’t have to be alone. He would help me. I ran across the lot, and in too much of a hurry to use the
elevator, I sprinted up the stairs to his floor.
Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I beat on his door. I prayed
that he hadn’t fallen asleep yet. I had a key to his apartment, but I hated to
use it this late at night. I didn’t want him to think someone was trying to
break in.
The door opened, and Andy was standing there. He took one look at
me and pulled me into his arms.
“Emma, what’s wrong?” he asked.
I was crying too hard to speak, so I shook my head.
“Who’s that?” an unfamiliar female voice asked.

“I should have let go of Emma a long time ago, but I never had.”
First let me say I really enjoyed Twisted Ties, and Shattered
Ties. Where I found Shattered (Book 1) a bit rushed, I found the pacing in
Twisted much better. The story is
totally engaging and we get a little bit of everything in Twisted Ties. We get
drama, oh the drama. Deceit, secrets, regrets, tingle inducing, sexy times,
heartbreak, and a MASSIVE TWIST. A twist and turn, that I never saw coming. I
was literally left mouth gaping, when I read it. Well Played Ms. Robinson, well
played.
Twisted Ties picks up two years after where we had left off
in Shattered Ties. Jesse and Emma are
now in College and neither has truly moved on, though neither is aware of this.
Emma chooses her college, praying to reunite with Jesse, after the massive misunderstanding
that ripped them apart, a long time ago. Andy and Emma have now grown close;
Jesse’s best friend is now Emma’s and their friendship, was one of my favourite
parts of this story. It’s now too often we see such a great friendship in a
romance novel between a woman and man. Andy has gotten Emma through some tough
times, he is protective of Emma, and their relationship makes me warm and
fuzzy. Much like a brother and sister, they are there for each other. Emma needs this; her mother and father aren’t
present in her life often if ever. I will say I was completely ecstatic when
Emma told her mother; she would no longer dictate her life and went her own
way. Emma’s mother made me furious, in Shattered. Jesse has made some serious changes in his
life, moving away from Emma, Andy and Ally (B*TCH FACE) <- HATE. Now in college focusing on a business degree,
instead of his true passion, he is going through the motions, but seriously
missing his girl. Ally. Well, Ally, what do I even say, I’m torn on that one. I
truly hated her; I hated her in Shattered for being so mean and the lies,
ripping Jesse and Emma apart. She appears again, of course, and OH.MY.GOD. This
girl made me vicious. If I had been Emma I would have committed homicide, for
reals. Ally gives new meaning to deceptive, evil, villain. That’s right I said villain.
I loved this book, I had serious emotional issues the whole
way through, I cursed, I stomped my feet, I huffed, and cursed some more. I was
so frustrated at one point; I actually threw my hands up, and walked away. I
behaved like a complete lunatic. For me that says one thing, GREAT BOOK! Oh and
did I mention the chemistry? The sexy scenes are OFF THE CHARTS! Panty Melters.
Jesse and Emma steam it up in the best ways. There are some seriously sexy
scenes in here!
K.A. brought it home
for me. Jesse, Emma, Andy, and even Ally, got what they truly deserved in the
end. The love in this book is great, it’s
affecting and hard earned. Jesse and Emma had such momentous challenges to
overcome, and it seemed so unfair to me. Just when they gained ground, someone
came along and tore them apart again. I was so angry, for them, but in the end,
it made that much sweeter. K.A Robinson knocked this one clear out of the park.
Twisted Ties will twist you up in knots, from page one, but in the end, leave
you smiling and sated.
~~~Memorable Moments~~~
“I just want
to take a picture of you as you are now – spread out on my table and playing
with yourself – hang it on my fucking wall. Jesus” - Jesse
“At the end of
the day, love is not perfect. It doesn’t protect us or save us from the
darkness surrounding our lives. Instead, it is the light that shines through to
help us. Without it, we would be consumed by the darkness.” -Jesse
"Why did you have to ruin it all?" - Emma
